What to Expect
Welcome! Whether you've never been to church or if you're searching for a new church home, you are welcome here.
UPON ARRIVAL
You will be welcomed by a member of the greeting team as you enter the building, and by an usher as you enter the service. If you have children, you may sign them in at the appropriate area (see "What activities are available for my children?" below) or they are welcome to join you in worship. Take a seat, enjoy the service and be assured that you will not be singled out in any way. If you have any questions before or after the service, our Information Desk is staffed with volunteers eager to help you.
WHEN & WHERE ARE WORSHIP SERVICES?
Worship services are held at 2nd & Douglas, downtown Lee’s Summit. Traditional services are held in the sanctuary; contemporary services are held in the Worship Center. Times of services ...
WHAT IS A TRADITIONAL SERVICE LIKE?
Each Sunday at 8:00 am and 11:00 am, and on Saturdays at 5:30 pm, we gather in the sanctuary to praise God in song and prayer. Sermons center on Biblical teachings with practical application to life’s situations, intended to inspire and challenge your relationship with God. Traditional services are perfect for those who prefer a more formal worshipping experience with traditional hymnody, liturgy and music from the Chancel and Bell choirs. Try the Saturday evening service for a more casual environment.
Dress is come as you are. You will see some in their Sunday best while others are in blue jeans and boots. God doesn’t care what you wear and neither do we.
- Jay & Jennifer Hunt
WHAT IS OUR CONTEMPORARY SERVICE LIKE?
Our 9:15 and 10:40 contemporary worship services are held in the Worship Center. Sermons center on biblical teachings with practical application to life’s situations, intended to inspire and challenge your relationship with God. This service is perfect for those who prefer a casual environment with a blend of contemporary music led by our Praise Band and vocalists.
WHAT ACTIVITIES ARE AVAILABLE FOR YOUR CHILDREN?

HOW DO YOU GET TO KNOW PEOPLE IN A CHURCH THIS SIZE?
The most effective way to build relationships in our church is to get involved in a small group, a Sunday School class or by sharing the gift of your time and talent as a volunteer. Be intentional about finding an activity that interests you, and you will inevitably experience spiritual growth as you share in a sense of community. Want to know how to get connected?
We have met many people in classes and small groups. This is a good way to share your lives and become more than aquaintances. We now meet monthly with one of these
groups as we found we have a lot in common.
