I'm Jim Preisig, and it is my joy to be the pastor of the Lee's Summit United Methodist Church and to welcome you! 

Churches are as unique as the people who join them, and LSUMC is a distinctive expression of the love of God in the world. We are a community of faith that emphasizes the love and grace that God shares with the world in the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth and the life." Our church exists so that people might find the way, know the truth and experience the life. 

If there is a reoccurring theme in my preaching it is simply this: God loves you as you are; but never intends that you remain as you are. Rather, it is God's hope and promise that you discover the abundant life that Christ offers. At LSUMC it's not about going to church - it is about coming alive!

My family is such a gift from God! My wife, MaryAnn, is the love of my life. My children, Stephen and Anneli, are both teenagers and as such they manage to keep their parents deeply invested in prayer. We thank God for both of them. And Rex, our yellow lab, adds comic relief to all the circumstances of life.

As a cancer survivor I know the difference that faith makes in life. That is the love and grace we are eager to share as a church!
