Summer Lunch Program

This is the 2nd year of this program that serves lunch to kids in Lee’s Summit who may not have a lunch otherwise. The program runs Monday thru Thursday June 2nd – August 12th, except for July 5th and Vacation Bible School week. Volunteers are needed to clean up, monitor parking lots, etc., & just be a friendly face for the children. Sign up to volunteer one day a week throughout the summer by contacting Katy at 554-4906. Please indicate what day of the week you’d like to work & phone & email address that you can be reached. Volunteers must be Safe Sanctuary trained.

Job Club!

Are you, or someone that you know, looking for work? The Forward Bound Job Club meets every Tuesday at 6:30 pm in room 118. Contact Robert Carpenter with questions.

The Jackson County Health Department offers immunizations at the church, in Fellowship Hall, at the following times: 3rd & 4th Mondays from 1 to 3:30 pm and the 3rd Saturdays from 9 to 11 am. Please note that flu shots will not be available at this clinic. Call Jackson County Health for more information at 404-6415.

Military Ministry: LSUMC sends regular care packages to our members and friends who are serving in the military. Ingredients are needed at this time: non-perishables such as Pre-ground coffee, Tea, Crackers (Triscuits, Wheat Thins), Baby wipes, Sunblock, Cross Word puzzles, Baby powder, Power bars, Oatmeal, Powdered Gatorade, Deodorant, Q-Tips, Chapstick/lip balm, DVDs, Beef Jerky, Gum, Word searches, Hand sanitizer, Dried fruit, Breath mints/hard candy, Dental floss, Little bags of potato chips. Bins are located in the worship center and church lobby.
