Sign-In & Procedures Policy
Just like with any other school or institution where children are concerned, Sunday school security and safety are vitally important issues. Because the safety of your child is a priority for us we are constantly looking, evaluating and considering steps to upgrade our safety.
Below is a reminder of our current safety guidelines. At any time that you have questions or concerns please do not hesitate to contact me. I will be happy to meet with you in person or speak to you over the phone. Thank you very much for your cooperation in this matter.
Stacy Guerrero
Director of Children’s Ministries
1. First-Time visitors will be asked to complete a registration form at the time of sign in.
2. If your child has allergies, please place a red band around their wrist and indicate what they are allergic to. It is the responsibility of the parent/guardian to inform Children’s Ministry classroom volunteers of any allergies or special needs for their child(ren).
3. We will not accept children into classrooms until two Children’s Ministries volunteers or staff members are present to begin check-in. Do not leave your child unsupervised for any length of time in any classroom.
4. Children will be accepted 10 minutes before programming is scheduled to begin, no sooner.
5. Check-in will end at 9:30 for the 1st Sunday school Session and at 11:10 for the second Sunday school Session. At this time, the security doors to the education wing will be closed. Should you arrive after check-in has closed, your child is invited to attend the next session of programming.
6. The Douglas Street entrance into the Education Wing will no longer be unlocked on Sunday mornings. Please access the Education Wing through the entrance located off the main church lobby.
7. Parents or guardians MUST present an identification tag (obtained during check-in) to the Children’s Ministries volunteer or staff person in the classroom to check out their child at the end of programming. Children will not be released without an identification tag. Children will only be released to an adult or a teenage sibling who has the correct identification tag. 5th and 6th graders may be released from the classroom with a parent’s prior approval.
Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.
