Pastoral Care

Our pastors conduct pre-marital counseling prior to officiating a wedding ceremony, as well as brief individual, couples or family counseling upon request. For long-term counseling, referrals to trained professionals may be made.

Stephen Ministry

Stephen Ministers are specially-trained to provide one-on-one Christian care with confidentiality and accountability, undergoing 50 hours of intense training to develop listening skills, crisis intervention and learn how to minister to others in specific situations such as illness and grief. They are also trained when to refer someone to a skilled professional.

Stephen Ministers' focus is on the process of caring without "fixing" or obtaining results as well-meaning friends often do. They empathize with boundaries, allowing the receiver to find his or her own solutions. Most importantly, they rely on God to direct their actions. They pray for those they care for, and with them when prayer is welcome.

Stephen Ministry members meet on the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month from 6:30-9 pm in the music room, which is located downstairs off of Soxman hall.

To request a confidential visit from a Stephen Minister, or if you're interested in becoming trained as a Stephen Minister, contact Judy Fossey at 524-3238 or the church office at 524-4966.
