Shanie Stoll's Faith Story

I gave birth to a beautiful baby girl in May of 2007. Health symptoms I had during the last trimester didn't go away after she was born. I went on my own to see a gastroenterologist in Aug. I was told I had advanced stage four colon cancer that had spread to my liver. It took me two days of total grieving before I got up at night unable to sleep. I hit my knees between my children's rooms - I have a 17-year-old, 14-year-old and now 18-month-old - I cried out to God about what was going to happen to my family. He spoke back to me in that harsh father tone and said loud and clear, "Don't you trust me that much?" A peace ran over me that I could never put into words, and I replied, "Yes, I trust you that much." I went back to bed and have never looked back since. I have had my down times after two surgeries and 12 chemo treatments, but not once did I not trust that God was watching out for me and my family. Sometimes He carried me and sometimes He just walked beside me, but He is always there...all we have to do is trust!
