Elroy serves as a calling pastor, visiting homebound and hospitalized members of the church.

Elroy grew up in Methodist parsonages in Missouri. He holds a Masters of Divinity from the Pacific School of Religion In Berkeley, California and a Bachelor of Science from Central Methodist College. He served as pastor in Missouri for 25 years, has been District Superintendent of three districts, Conference Council Director and Administrative Assistant to the Bishop. He and his wife, Marilyn, are parents of three children, Nancy, Mark and Lisa. They have six grandchildren.
