"Honoring God's imagination" is the vanguard of my spiritual life. This means not only committing one's present self to God, but also one's potential self. This concept drives my ministry efforts. To me, making and writing music is as natural as breathing. Before coming to LSUMC it has been my privilege to serve churches in Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas and Arkansas. I am a graduate of Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and Oklahoma Baptist University where I studied music composition and music education in piano. Along the way, I became a member of the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers and published 80 choral anthems for church choirs.
 
Probably the most exciting life event happened to me last year when I married Gary Douglas. We enjoy spending time together, long walks, and playing with our sheltie, Beau Steinway. We spend lots of time in the garden, growing nine varieties of roses!
